My Vriende is 'my friends' in Afrikaans.
Some of my closest friends in the world came to visit me this week! This is my best friend Thea and her family from South Africa. I met Thea when I lived and Botswana. She was kind enough to share her whole family with me! These wonderful people took me under their wings and treated me like I was one of the family. They are all incredibly sweet, caring, loving, giving, and fun! I looooooove this family! I'm so very honored that they took time to visit me! Maybe next time the whole family can come - wouldn't that be awesome?! If not, well, I'll just have to make a run to SA to see them! =)
I'm also really glad they got to meet some of my other friends and spend time with my family. I've been wanting everyone to meet because I just knew they would love each other!
They were only here for less than 48 hours...but it was pure bliss (on my part anyway). I kept just looking at Thea and saying "I can't believe you are really here in Alabama!".

I have heard so much about the Smiths.....I couldn't wait to meet them! What a wonderful family! They are so sweet, kind, and caring. PLEASE COME BACK SOON!
