What I've been up to...

I know you all are curious....what has Amber been up to this week? =)  A whole lot of running around - that's what.

We are busy getting ready for our National Sunday School Teacher's Retreat. It's next weekend and Mom is the guest speaker...I'm so excited! This week has been filled with running errands to collect all of the little items needed.

Here's a snapshot of life this week (between the errands)...

We drove to Antigua to have lunch with a girl from LA who is there studying Spanish. It was my first time driving there and quite an adventure.... nothing like driving on crowded cobblestone streets! =) Love, love, LOVE Antigua!

We caught Mojo and Chico being buddies....Chico may pretend he isn't a huge Mo fan but this pic tells the truth. =)

We drove out to the property at the crack of dawn on Saturday to see the concrete being poured. Little did we know that they had decided to get an early start... 4:30 AM! We got there for the last bit of the action. So excited about the progress with the wall!

Sis. L and I conquered a filing cabinet! The thing came in a box without a single piece put together so it was quite a task! Had to break out the power tools!

The bell at the school decided to quit working...so, I was the bell! The students really got a kick out of this!

We drove back out to the property yesterday and check it out! Can you believe they have gotten this much up in 3.5 days! Amazing! It's a meter under ground and going to be 3 meters high.

Oh yeah.... =)

We also made a trial run out to the location of the retreat (about an hour away)...with me driving. It went pretty smoothly...if you don't count the one wrong direction (right instead of left makes a BIG difference) and the short drive down a one-way, the wrong way. =) Driving here is absolutely insane. Someday I'll take pictures. There are few rules... and none of the way the roads are built make sense. For example, going out to the retreat is all one-ways so coming back is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WAY! And you can forget turn arounds... those are almost non-existent!

I've also managed to squeeze in a few jogs, attend a neighborhood association meeting, and cook dinner almost every night. Fun stuff! =)

There you have it! A peek into my week. =) Next week, my parents come for a visit and we have the retreat...wooohoooo!
