I'm HOME!

I made it home! Yeah, I'm a little late in updating but hey, better late than never, right?

Getting home was a loooooooooooong process. I got up at 4 a.m., packed the rest of my stuff, got ready, and walked a bunch of stuff to the office to leave for Jill. I walked the 25 minutes back home, took another shower (because it's super hot and muggy even before daylight in Taiwan), and was ready for my taxi at 6:30. A girl that was staying in my building was flying home at the same time so she rode along with me for the hour drive to the airport.

We get there and learn that there was a typhoon in Japan so my flight was cancelled and I was put on another flight that left later in the evening so I sat at the airport for 12 hours! I would have left but I had all of my luggage and that was too much to manage on the bus. Thankfully, Katy (the girl who shared the cab with me) was also on the flight so the wait was a bit more bearable

The flight to San Fran was uneventful. My wonderful friend, Thea, met me at the airport! She and her beautiful little family rescued me and treated me to a lovely dinner, lots of coffee, and a drive around town. They were definitely the highlight of my trip home!

My first time meeting little Liam - isn't he a doll?

He's sooo handsome!

My flight to Chicago left around 11 p.m. so I arrived EARLY the next morning. I grabbed a muffin and stared into space until my next flight left...heehee. By this time, I was pretty much a walking zombie. I made it to Birmingham at 8:30 a.m. Mom, Dad, and Jessica were there to meet me! It's soooo nice to be home!
I went home, crashed for a few hours, and then headed out to class. From class, I went to prayer and then to a small little celebration with a few friends. I love my friends...they are the best in the world, seriously!
Okay, now I know I didn't update my blog much while I was gone. The connection in my apartment was too slow to upload many pictures to blogger. However, I put lots of pictures on my facebook. I'm going to link to the albums on here so you can see all of the pictures even if you don't have a facebook account. China, Taiwan, and Tawain 2.
