First, we went to some Mayan ruins. This was eye opening for me. Standing there looking at the remains of a city from the 1500's - wow. The Mayans had some weird traditions. There was an altar in the center where a young girl would be sacrificed every year. A guy would cut out her heart and run it up the stairs to the king before the heart stopped beating.

I have a ton more to post. Expect at least one post for day for a while. One week from today I will be home - scary.

Oh the mujeres....reminds me of China. How wierd about the heart sacrifice thing....scary! We are counting down the days!
