Cousins!

This post is LONG overdue! I'm going to back date the next few posts to around the time they should have been posted. =)

We went to Indiana to see all of my many cousins and squeeze in the Middle Eastern Festival* which is almost a family reunion. It was a blast!

Dawson wasn't able to come with us but Twon did. Twon at my family reunion cracked me up...haha. It was so good to be able to see all my family again. My little cousins are growing up so fast! We also got to visit with my dad's aunts. They are both in their 90's and are still as charming as ever!

Here is a little video clip from the festival so you can get a feel for Syrian music. =) I'm not sure why there are so many blond heads...the festival must have caught on with gringos. (I thought blond was always spelled with an "e" but spellcheck just corrected me. Now I'm going to have to go research this) =)



* For those of you who don't know my family history, my dad's family is originally from Syria. My dad's grandparents came to America when they were in their teens (I believe). My dad's mom was Scot-Irish, so my dad is only half Syrian. =)
